Project R+3 building for rental use

My job was to produce the 2D architectural plans, carry out the structural calculations and produce the design brief and execution drawings.

The constraint of this project was the ground, which is marshy with a very low stress of 1.65 bar at the Elu, and therefore unsuitable for such a structure.

There was also the project’s financial constraint, which meant that I had to opt for the least expensive solution, i.e. using threaded footings for the foundation instead of the invert, which seemed to be the most effective solution but also the most expensive.

I used :

• Graphisoft Archicad for producing 2D plans
• Arche Graitec Design for calculating the structure and producing the working drawings.

I also used MS Word Office to draw up the design brief.
